Australia-China LNG Forum

INTRODUCTION

Gas remains one of the world’s fastest growing energy sources with strong market conditions predicted for the next two decades. As a core contributor to growth, China is expected to continue as one of the key demand markets due to a strong push for clean energy and rapid modernisation. With the nation set to become the world’s largest LNG importer in the next five years, Australia must leverage effective and proactive strategies to take advantage of China’s evolving demand in the face of increased global supply competition and volatility. How can Australian LNG producers make the most of this important opportunity to increase their market share in the immense and sometimes unpredictable China LNG market and to ride into the next LNG wave?

Australia is the world’s largest LNG exporter, with significant un-committed and un-developed gas resources. On the flip side, how can Chinese LNG importers secure a reliable supply of quality LNG from Australia on competitive terms? How do investors from both countries find the right projects to commit to?

Organized by the Western Australia Chinese Petroleum Association (WACPA) with the support of CODA, ACBC and CCCA, the 2020 Australia-China LNG Forum aims to bring together Australia and China LNG players again to further enhance win-win collaborations for delivering LNG and high investment returns.

DEVELOPMENT

The Australia-China LNG Forum has established itself as prominent industry event in the Asia region, gathering leaders from both Australian, Chinese and multi-national companies to discuss major themes in the ever-evolving LNG trade relationship between the two nations.

The event attracts over one hundred leaders from a diverse range of enterprises, sharing valuable knowledge and exchanging ideas.

Presentation topics varied from LNG market analysis, the role of gas with other new energy options, financing and contracting for LNG investments, to advice on relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.

A key conclusion from past events was an extremely confident and optimistic future outlook for LNG trade between Australia and China, presenting an abundance of collaboration opportunities for enterprises involved in the sector.

The feedback from the forum attendees was extremely positive. Since establishing the forum three years ago, we have witnessed tangible collaborations. The overwhelming success of the forum has led to definite plans to hold the event annually.

The organizing committee sincerely invites your participation in 2020. Australia-China LNG Forum.
